The One Where She Starts A Blog
Dis Me
Hi, my name is Maya Ryan. I'm 18 and from St. Augustine, Florida. As of now I am in Tallahassee attending Florida State University. For a while now, I've tossed around the thought of creating a blog but never actually did anything about it because ya know why would anyone want to read about my life?? I'm not interesting in any way shape or form. Anyway here I am now....with a blog... not knowing what I'm doing with my life. If you're reading this, I applaud you and apologize in advance for my lack of experience and interesting content; if you have any ideas or something you want me to address, please let me know because I'll probably run out of ideas soon.
So, for those of you who don't know me I am a weird, crazy, cat obsessed, beach loving girl who's just tryin to survive the day. I have a younger sister, 16, and two Siamese/ Ragdoll twin cats (they're basically my children) and a pupper that's a Lab/ Akita mix. If you don't know what a Ragdoll cat or an Akita dog looks like, look it up. I also have a mom and a dad.... I figured that'd be a given but its 2019, you never know. Anyway, there are a few things I want to address if you don't know me or know me that well because it will make reading my posts much easier. Somethings that you should probably know about me that you can’t tell are that first of all, I’m Asian. I was adopted from the province Hunan- the people there mostly known for their high tolerance of spicy foods. But now I’m here in Florida, sweatting my ass off. But yeah, anyway even though I’m Asian I basically see myself as a white girl stuck in an Asian body because I am the MOST BASIC person to exist. Knowing that I’m Asian my not seem so important but it’s a part of who I am- but mostly I just tend to make a lot of Asian jokes so if you didn’t know that, it’d seem racist and rude, soooo I’m just putting that out there. Another thing I think you should know about me is that I am part of the 10% of the population that is left handed. This is one of the first things I mention whenever I meet someone new. It’s always, “Hi I’m Maya. Nice to meet you .... oh and by the way I’m left handed.” I don’t know why I tell people this because they absolutely do not give a single shit. But yeah so on August 13th, national left handed day, I expect some love and appreciation because being a lefty in this cruel right handed world is tough. One last thing I feel I should share is that I am extremely sarcastic and if you don’t know me, it’s probably hard to tell if I’m being serious or not- especially through writing. So that being said, don’t take everything I say too literally.
Anyway wow I feel like that’s a lot for a first blog post! As you can probably tell just by reading this, I write like I talk, so if you have a problem with that, or if It's hard to read, then that sucks because I can't help it. If you have any tips, questions or suggestions on topics to write about don't be afraid let me know !!! I look forward to writing more and seeing what you all think! -Maya

Wow! This is it. This is THE best blog post I’ve ever read in my entire 18 years of life on this planet. 10/10 would recommend!
ReplyDeleteEach sentence was carefully crafted to ensure a pleasant reading experience. The author created a very causal and comedic tone through the inclusion of witty remarks and insightful facts about herself. Maya included 2 pictures of her beautiful pets that really made me feel like a part of her family and like I’ve known her for years! I wept with tears of sorrow as I realized that this was the only post on this blog. So, Maya if you are reading this, please answer this plea from your biggest fan: write a second post. It is with extraordinary confidence that I am able to say that I am sure that everyone craves more of your written masterpieces.
