F You Corona !!!!

Sooo as all of you know, the COVID-19 has quickly been spreading across the  GLOBE!!!! Totally wild!! Right!? In order to slow the spread of the virus, it has been suggested, well not suggested, more like the law to follow social distancing protocols. Being precautious about others around you and how you can be safe to decrease the chances of you either receiving or possibly you transmitting it to another person. While you may not be concerned about your chances of contracting the virus, it is SO important to keep others in mind! Not everyone has a strong immune system, some are compromised leaving them more vulnerable to getting sick. It is even more important to think about others who may come in contact with those who are more likely to get sick. Basically what I’m saying , is don’t be an ass and think about someone other than yourself!!!!I know it is difficult with everything being cancelled like school and special events like prom, graduations and weddings being cancelled, but it is for the best in the long run. The beach will still be there when this is all over. Dine in restaurants will still be a thing. Your favorite stores will still be in business. The more we follow social distancing rules, the quicker the virus will go away and our lives can get back to normal. When the stay at home ‘law’ was first intact I was SO MAD!! I didn’t think I could manage! I however, being the homebody introvert I am, did not have much difficulty(at first) being confined at home. With the occasional grocery run I was just fine. With only a few weeks of my first year of college left, school was not a terrible switch. After about two weeks suck at home, not going to work and just laying low, I have to admit I was starting to get a little restless. My family and I began getting on a schedule allowing us time to exercise, time to do school work and time to relax. Planning little outings like going to the park to walk the dog or picnics allowed us some sanity and time to get out in the fresh air. With all of this extra time on our hands we, as many others, have gotten into cleaning, organizing and doing everything else we've wanted to do when we never had the time. It almost feels like someone hit the pause button on our life. Suspended animation or something like that. Time is still going by, but nothing is happening... practically a fever dream. I have had so much time to think lately, which can be very dangerous, and I have come to the conclusion that this global pandemic is a blessing in disguise. Well at least for my family. I know that these are very trying times for people and I am for sure not happy about how the virus has affected others around the world, but I have been able to reflect and realize how much we take for granted. There are so many people who have it way worse than we do. Just the simple things like going out for a bite to eat, taking a day to relax at the beach and even being able to work! Simple things like that make all the difference in our lives. They make it interesting and fun, worth living for. This time has given me a chance to step back and relax and realize just how lucky I am. Being able to connect with my family more than ever is so refreshing. So while yes, you may not be able to drive to the beach right now, or eat at your favorite restaurant learn to appreciate the simple things in life and spend time with the people you love!! Take up a new hobby, learn a new fact or maybe even try a new recipe. Whatever it is, just be safe!!!!!
